Ok, let me start off by explaining why I had to blur this dude out from the waist down: his choice of jeans are SO.OFFENSIVE. that I didn’t want to expose my readers to such vulgarity. This IS a family friendly blog after all. I meannnn I just want to know who the stylist was here. I’d like to hire him, so I could FIRE him. ANYWAYS- back to the sweater. I really dig a color-blocked moment, even when it’s lazily done for you courtesy of H&M, but isn’t it ALL about being effortless anyway? Thought so. As far as what to wear this with, you’re OBVIOUSLY not following after THAT guy. I would highly suggest pairing it with a pair of chinos (some shade of tan/khaki), a nice gold watch, and something simple on your feet, like Vans. But the “chukka” lace-up version, not those slip on things. HATES a slip on anything*. Just don’t do it. K? You’re welcome. #ColorblockThemHoes!

I mean there’s not much I can say about this shirt. It’s just SEXY. And it’s not just plaid, it’s the GOOD plaid. That 90′s plaid that you can only find in consignment shops and Goodwills. Speaking of the 90′s, TOTALLY back in style. Especially after Givenchy’s “studded plaid” moment a couple years ago. So while we’re still learning about TRANSITION PIECES, consider tying your plaid shirt around your waist when it gets too warm for you. Another staple. Classic Levi’s denim jacket. Timeless. Something that will be in your closet for years to come. Adding a denim jacket to your look can completely boost your entire outfit. There are really no rules for pairing here, just try to avoid wearing it with like-colored denim pants. You don’t want to look like you watch Nascar. And eat Spam™. I’ve worn this jacket with both gray and black denim successfully, however blue denim can be tricky. That’s a little advanced and takes a good eye to discern if people will be offended by your ensemble when you leave the house. Play it safe and stick to chinos/cargos. You’re welcome.
